sandpit147,

Thank you for your post.

We have identify a bug that could be causing the faulty sync of your tasks.
"System.Runtime.
InteropServices.COMException
(0x8000FFFF): Interface not supported
  at Redemption.MAPITableClass.set_Item(Object Value)
  at Appigo_Sync.OutlookSyncService.syncTasks()
  at Appigo_Sync.OutlookSyncService.doFullSync()"

We have forwarded this information to our development team and they should be coming up with a fix in a future release of Appigo Sync BETA for Outlook.

Hi,

I've just purchased todo and setup windows appigo sync beta as per the
instructions on the website. I have also downloaded and installed the
2007 Microsoft Office System Update: Redistributable Primary Interop
Assemblies patch. I can't get the sync function to work in both
directions however:

1. New tasks created in outlook 2007 sync to Todo ok - Working fine
2. Existing outlook tasks are not being sync'd - Not Working
3. Any changes made within Todo (new or amended/completed tasks) are
not being sync'd - Not Working

Outlook doesn't connect to any other programs which sync with tasks.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks

BitWise Controls BC4 Support

Just a quick introduction, and an overview of my planned development
efforts. I'm Mark Buster with BitWise Controls
( www.bitwisecontrols.com ). We make IP enabled control systems
interfaces. I have been playing with the CommandFusion GUI Designer
and iViewer applications, and I think they are a great fit for our
products. It is already possible to use our products with
CommandFusion, but I'm setting about developing "system" files to make
it easier to set up.
A bit about the BC4/BCX-1. It's an IP enabled device with a built-in
IR library (with on-board IR learner), 4 emitter ports plus the IR
learner LED which can be used as an IR blaster, 2 relays, 2 GPIOs
(digital input, analog input, or digital output), internal counter/
frequency input tied to GPIO # 1, a three-wire serial port, and an
internal temperature sensor.

As I said, I'm creating a "System file" which will allow users to
easily set up the BC4 and provide access to all of the hardware
functionality. This will provide the basis for BC4 system support. But
what will make this even more useful, is that I'm also working on a
small utility that will allow you to convert device files exported
from our (soon to be released) Project Editor software, for use with
CommandFusion.
Here's how it will work:
The BC4 Project Editor software allows you to browse the BC4's on-
board IR device library (which includes support for 100s of thousands
of devices), quickly create and test IR "Devices", which include
manufacturer info, factory IR keys, and any learned IR keys you may
add. Then, you can export these devices as a file for use with later
projects, useful when you use the same devices on lots of
installations. These exported device files can be easily converted
(again, I'm making a small utility for this) into the .cfs system file
format used by GUI Designer. This should make setting up re-usable IR
devices very painless.
The Project Editor software also allows you to create control macros
to be stored directly in the BC4. I'll be making the BC4 system file
able to trigger these files.

Anyway, sorry for the long-winded intro. Just wanted to give you guys
a heads-up for what's coming down the road.
Thanks,
Mark

One simple way to prevent rotation when not needed is to not rotate
when device is upside down.
Well, just like the browser of the iPod/iPhone is doing.

[appigo-accufuel] Re: Accufuel 1.2 issues

Just for kicks, I decided to give AccuFuel another try.

I imported 66 records ranging from Sept 18, 008 to Dec 23, 2009
(starting fresh).

When I look at the individual fill-up via AccuFuel, they look fine.
However, on the graph I get bizarre results:

Graph Timeframe, Average (in miles)
1m, 1061
2m, 1011
3m, 908
6m, 743
1y, 326
2y, 18 (should be 19)
All, 18 (should be 19)

The 2y and All timeframes should show 19 because the average for all
66 fill-ups is 18.84965016 mpg.

Appigo...you have my data since I used your Import Page to import this
data. It would be my second attempt at using that page, as my first
attempt had the Full/Partial (0/1) transposed.

By the way, thank you Appigo for your attempt at fixing AccuFuel for
iPhone 3.x.

Mike,

Thank you for your post.

You can find the port that Appigo Sync is using by clicking the "Advance" tab in Appigo Sync Preferences.

Very interesting. I updated mine as well and found the same thing,
1772 MPG average over the last three months. If I go out to the one
year average, it's ok. I hope Appigo comes up with a fix soon.

[appigo-todo] Completed subtasks in a repeating project

This may be more of a feature request than a bug report, but what I
want to do is this: create a repeating project that has a number of
subtasks that *repeat with the parent task until the subtasks are
completed*.

The current behavior is that when I've completed a subtask and check
it off, it will keep coming back unchecked each time the project is
repeated. If I remove the option "repeat with parent task" from the
subtask and set it to "none", then each time the project is repeated,
the subtasks disappear completely.

I imagine there is no way to get the behavior I want (be able to
complete subtasks within a repeating project) unless I delete the
subtask entirely when I've completed it?

Alex

Re: Video for RS232 or any relevant documentation

No you are still doing a bidirectional update w/ regex.

You send the volume command to the Denon from your ipod

Slider sends command of
MV##\x0A\x0D (where XX is a value from 00 to 99 for volume)
or
MVUP\x0A\x0D (turn volume up)
MVDOWN\x0A\x0D (turn volume down)

Denon receiver echos back volume state (via globalcache unit)
MV## (where XX is a value from 00 to 99 for volume)

Use a regexp in Command fusion to capture the value of the volume
feedback from the Denon receiver to update the correct serial join for
your volume slider
MV(.*)

So what you are saying is have a master slave relationship. Ipod gives
values of volume to denon device, device complies as opposed to bi
directional updates with regex??

My question about that would be not updating the volume slider w/ a
regex as I've been doing that but passing the value of the slider as
the "command value" when the volume slider changes.

[appigo-todo] Outlook-Todo Sync Problem (Due Dates)

All items sync beautifully both ways between Outlook and iPhone ToDo.
No problems.
Except when it comes to Due Dates. These do not sync either way?
What am I doing wrong? Please advise. Thanks.

Tom.

[appigo-todo] initial setup of Todo and Synchronization

ToDo is on my iPhone.
Appigo Synch is running on my computer (Dell).
I am running Outlook 2003.
ToDo does not automatically discover my computer.
I use ipconfig to locate the ip address.
How do I find the port?

Thanks

Mike

Re: Video for RS232 or any relevant documentation

Fiasco's method of showing/hiding subpages on top of a button to give
the option of two different commands is a very nice solution. I would
definitely give that a try anyone who needs to send a different
command from a single button on every other press.

For grabbing the volume into a slider its as simple as creating a
regex to grab the volume level and then setting the min and max ranges
for the value. Then assign the captured value to an analog join and
use the same join on a gauge or slider and it will update with the
volume level direct feedback from the receiver.

Re: Development version of CF

That is exactly what I found. Placing the 50 ms delay in front of the command worked (as Nahshon suggested). I am going through a Global Cache which has an inherent delay in it. I used the GC Learner facility to "learn" the IR code. The code is working properly now.

I am an AMX/Crestron programmer, so the issues with the IR toggling codes is not new to me.

Is there a development license that will allow people like me to develop full blown apps (including page flips)?

Can you copy/paste the complete code you are using? You might have to
relearn the code with the repeat count set to 2 (or more) via the GC
software. Some hardware use toggling IR codes for each press.
Changing the repeat delay to a small number like 50ms will force the
code to be sent twice which will fix the problem, but relearning the
IR code correctly is the best option. You may find that the code you
originally will work sometimes, but not every time due to the toggling
nature of the IR code the hardware is using.

Ouch, that hurts (the socket lockout you mention) and the single
concurrent connection. Glad to know that
before I run into it.

I didn't look up the specific Denon model you are controlling but I
have my system integrated via a AVR-4306 which has inbuilt Ethernet -
regardless the RS232 and TCP socket protocol are much the same. One
awkward thing about the Denon via TCP is that if a socket is kept open
it can get locked out for some reason, and if this happens it can't
reconnect. Only one concurrent connection is supported and so it
requires that the Denon be power cycled to reset the socket.

Because of this you have to make a choice of either a permanent open
socket in which case you get real time event information from the
Denon or an open/close socket approach which avoids the lockouts but
compromises the event information . The latter then requires a few
exchanges each connection to recover state information - or a scape
from the inbuilt web page.

I'm not exactly sure how to send the value of a volume slider through
a system command. Maybe Jarrod can shed some light on that. I use
a 3rd party (eventghost) to do it.
