Sorry for my late reply. Config params should probably look something
closer to this:

Description: ipad
Host: IP address of Ubuntu system running SSH
Port: 22 (or can be left blank as this is default for SSH)
Login: username

Make sure you don't include your hostname in your login.

Most likely you got a login prompt that read
"user@example.com@example.com's password:"
