addresses. You would need to provide me with the WAN IP Address, and
forward ports via your router to allow for remote access.
This is why earlier I mentioned there is no security risk in posting
your internal IP address of the GC unit.
As for setting the join for testing connection state:
1. Open the system properties for the global cache system you defined
(double click on it)
2. Enter a number for the digital join for the connected state. For
example, 100
3. Create a button in your GUI which has two distinct states (maybe
red text on the inactive state, green text on the active state), and
set the button to the same digital join used above (for example, 100)
Now when you load the GUI, the button should change state when the
connection is active. Otherwise no connection is even being made and
you have a network setup issue somewhere on your end.
