Re: Editing files

For simple editing, I use the venerable ex. I find it easier than vi and less cantankerous. Ex really does not care much about lag, slow connections, etc. Sometimes I will use pico.

For more extensive editing, I will then use nedit, which has a nice GUI under X11.

Matter of taste, really.
