Editing files

I just love Issh, as it saves me from having to drag around my laptop most of the time.  But I’m having one heck of a time editing files.  Of course I am using a IPhone and my editor of choice is VI. But I could change editor I guess.  But I noticed an option in the setup called ‘Offline editing’ or some such thing. How does that work, or what does everyone else use as an editor?
