passcode lock not working in 4.3

Running iSSH 4.3 on an iphone 4, it appears that the passcode lock
feature no longer works. I've double-checked my settings, and
passcode locking is turned on. The first time I run iSSH after power
cycling the phone, it asks for the passcode. But, thereafter it
doesn't.

Could this be due to the fact that the program now runs in the
background?
