Re: IP control of bluray players

The Apple TV,as well as iTunes, are directly controllable over IP and
without the need of some third party plug-in. Both use a HTTP command
set. I have been working on reverse engineering the protocol since
apple has become the next Microsoft, except far more controlling and
far more.............well.

If you have a passive network hub or a network switch with port-
mirroring capabilites, you could just capture the data packets between
an Apple TV and say the Apple Provided Remote App for the iPhone/
iTouch. Use a program like WireShark to accomplish this.
