average iPad app price is about $3. That's the economics of the market
you chose to enter. It's not at all unreasonable to expect an app
costing three times the average price to be, well, above average. Look
at X-Plane. Austin Meyers sunk a ton of work into it, all the code
written by himself, from scratch. $9.99, and well worth it, and he's
made a very good living from the iPhone app alone (when PC/Mac sales
were sagging). You're porting the existing OpenSSH source (it's in
your code) and adding a GUI. Way less work, although I recognize it's
non-trivial. But please don't expect customers to both pay and "be
grateful", then volunteer to provide free labor to make iSSH a
polished app. That's your job as commercial developers. Every
professional recognizes this.
