"Overlay" of CF over normal operation of the iPad:
Well let us say you are watcing your IP enabled CCTV camera and you want to zoom in on an area or pan to another direction, it would be nice to have a semi-transparent interface that lets you do just that. So one would be able to see through iviewer, control the camera and catch that garden gnome thief!!
I could do that with my ATI "all in wonder" card few years ago. Watch TV and "work" at the same time. (one was able to control the gamma on the TV) it was called "thruview" I think
Failing the above, I wonder if we could have a part of the screen dedicated to iviewer while the rest can have things like safari or google maps or any other application open. To achieve the same objective above.
Would it be possible to start another app from within iviewer then exit iviewer so one could hand over to another control system or app. . .?
At present I am expecting just more real estate to work with. So more and or BIGGER buttons. . . .
Any thoughts ? . . .

Yeah, I'm in the iPhone developer program, so I've been following the SDK versions.
Do you need to release a new version of the PC app for us to be able to prepare our interfaces, too ?

As soon as we are able to submit an app to the app store for the iPad,
we will be ready to do so.
We already have it running nicely in the iPad Simulator. So just
waiting for Apple to open the doors really.
They still haven't finalised the SDK for iPad yet (they are up to beta
3).

Jarrod, when can we expect iViewer to be available on iPad ?
We have pre-ordered iPads for our showroom and want to put together a special event for our customers, with iPad/Crestron demos.
