Re: Missing three characters at every Command prompt in the Terminal window

Could this be from escape sequences? On many Linux distributions the
default .profile (or .bashrc?) sets up the prompt with escape
sequences to change the terminal title. The default terminal type in
iSSH is 'xterm', and 'xterm's will generally recognize these escape
sequences. If you think this might be a possibility, type
"PS1='something-simple > ' " (without ousdide double-quotes). If the
missing characters go away, that might be it.
