Ubuntu mouse pointer problem

I don't see anyone else complaining about this, but when I VNC to
Ubuntu (both 9.04 and 9.10 machines) I don't see the mouse pointer,
making it pretty difficult to know exactly what I'm "clicking" on.
VNC to my Win 7 machine works fine. I see the mouse pointer fine in
Mocha, BTW.
