Re: Transfer CF to new iPhone ?

Jarrods suggestion seems supportive but phone upgrades do not mandate
the old phone is retained by the network providor.

I think it would be a very bad policy if Command Fusion were to
enforce new purchases of licences if you ever had to replace or wanted
to upgrade your iPhone. That would be very unpopular, unfriendly and
detract from sales. The handset upgrade policies allow you to either
trade in or indeed sell your old iphone privately eg eBay. A lot of
these will appear shortly as the 18 month contract period since launch
is now imminent.

If the current licensing mechanism for iViewer does not allow a
transfer or does not allow CF to deactivate older retired versions
then I think it is fundamentally flawed and needs urgent attention to
provide a system that does allow licenses to be deactivated on one
phone and transferred to another - as happens with the (very few /
unpopular) PC applications that implement application locking. An
internet based activation / deactivation algorithm seems needed.
