The problem that I have with Toodledo is that I have not found a way

Toodledo has made some surprising choices in the user interface department (IMO).  Only Lotus Notes rivals it for hiding things in unintuitive places.  But its help system is extensive, well organized, and searchable.  Searching for the word "multiple", I immediately found the answer to your question:

How can I edit multiple tasks at once?

Toodledo has a tool that we call "Multi-Edit" that will allow you to edit multiple tasks at the same time. You can access the "Multi-Edit" tool from our advanced search page.

For a more in depth explanation of Multi-Edit, please visit our detailed explanation.

It's not a full multi-edit, a la iTunes, but may be sufficient for your needs.
