was another issue I ran into that I couldn't solve for quite a while.
PROBLEM: As a standard part of installations I include a page which
has installation and contact phone numbers on it. This way if someone
needs to look up quickly a phone number for our company they can.
Likewise, on the 'splash' page I like to simply put a graphic up.
Utilizing the Landscape mode of CF I actually wanted to make a splash
page with a picture in landscape mode and controls in portrait mode.
While that all sounds easy enough, and I could see it fine in
guiDesigner, I was not actually able to get the iPod to go into
landscape mode on the Splash page at all. I checked all my settings,
several times and was very sure that I had set the page theme to
'Splash_Landscape_Image' and could see what I expected in guiDesigner.
But, no matter what I tried I could not actually get the page to show.
SOLUTION: Because I had set the entire page to a static background I
had no need for putting any buttons, graphics, etc. on the page
itself. This made the page appear to be 'blank' and not necessary.
As such, CommandFusion did not load the page and would not allow me to
get to that page.
If I changed the graphic to being a button, instead of a background,
and put it on the page it solved the issue. Likewise if I put any
text at all (phone number, project name, etc.) on the page it also
would load it fine. The key was putting SOMETHING on the page to get
CF to recognize that it was a page being used that needed to be
loaded, not ignored.
I imagine this feature is good for people that don't use landscape
pages and that they don't want those unused pages to show up
uninvited, but it was quite a while for me to figure out what might
have been causing the pages not to show.
