Re: iSSH closing on jail broken iPad when backgrounded, since latest update

I've had a really mixed bag of reports on functionality since the iOS
4 compatible update. I've heard from individuals using iOS 4 iPhones
that Background and iSSH get along just as they used to before any
software update. This leads me to believe that once multitasking
comes to the iPad the solution (and the jailbreak community) will
resolve itself.

Unfortunately I have little knowledge as to the mechanics as to how
Backgrounder is working. My concern though is that such apps get free
reign of private API's where as iSSH does not. There is a specific,
prescribed way to implement background tasks and likewise to prevent
their attempted execution on devices that should not yet have
multitasking. My understanding is that the iPad will probably receive
an iOS 4-like update sometime this year and it will render any
temporary workaround moot.

But I'll make a deal--if a 4.0 update for the iPad isn't announced by
the end of the month I'll do an update just to make sure Backgrounder
on the iPad works as it should.
