Have you tried closing and opening the project in guiDesigner again?
We have not set any limits.

There is a possibility that it will slow down once the file gets
large, but we have made the caching and memory usage a LOT more
efficient in the next release, so I would expect you to see some nice
improvements if you are pushing the limits at the moment.
