version 4.3! I've actually been hoping for such a feature once I saw
what was possible with iOS 4.
Question though: my particular ssh host does not allow shells on the
host itself; it bridges the outside of the firewall and the inside of
the firewall and my connections are supposed to jump through it and do
shells or VNCs on other inside hosts. Can you add support for no
shell on the first host, just tunnels? For example, on the command
line with a regular OpenSSH "ssh" I use the "-N" and "-f" flags. I
will note that you VNC tunnel implementation DOES work with my
configuration. It's just that I cannot set up an ssh tunnel of my
own.
In addition, once I had my tunnel established, I assume I could direct
Mobile Safari or Mobile Mail to the new iSSH tunnel. Will I be able
to allow other hosts to access my iPhone iSSH tunnels? This would be
the "-g" option in ssh.
