What do you mean by "no longer connects"? What error message does it
give you? Have you tried one of the lite, free telnet apps in the
store? Unfortunately I can't replicate this using an iPhone 4 device
with the present, in-store version.

The telnet test I'm using is to the host bbs.diskshop.ca
