Set a subpage timer that sends the current digital join value back to the system every 1 second.
Create a feedback string that will recieve the current digital join and subtract 1.
Every button must be a macro to first launch a loopback command to set the digital join to 5, then launch the command.
I still haven't tried it, but i will.

Interesting question; to add to that:
1) Is there any way to stop a macro? I can do this through my control system, but I assume this is not always the case.
2) Is there any documented examples of macros running boolean statements that might run various commands given a specified join value?
Waldy, What control system are you using?
I would make every button launch a macro that would:
1) Stop [countdownmacro] (The countdown timer would just set the subpage join to 0 after 5 seconds)
2) Launch required button command
3) Start [countdownmacro]

I have created a subpage to fade in from the left from a button using
a digital join and this works fine. However, I cannot work out how to
get it to fade out after say 5 seconds of inactivity.
thanks
