Re: button change state

Hello,

with 2923 posts in this group, finding some specific information about
functionality is quite difficult.

I still want to know why my original configuration is not working, but
using the example from Fiasco with the Macro based approach I achieved
my goal (thanks a lot!). The software is certainly very powerful and
my bossy iPad is really looking forward
issuing commands to my home theatre, but this seems to get a rather
time consuming hobby...

I am really interested in the example.gui, this might make live
easier.

On to the next step...

Kind regards,
Frank

Problem is, I am using version 2.3.1.12 of the software and it a) does not look similar to the example and b) it does not work. I defined 4 buttons with Digital Join set to 1 to 4 (actually, is there any explanation about Joins? I must confess the current manuals are a bit on the ´thin´ side...). I experimented with the Simulate Feedback setting, but it does not seem to bring any effect regarding setting the state of a button back again. There is an inactive and an active state to these buttons. Next, I defined a Dummy System with IP set to 0.0.0.0, Port 0, Port Origin 0, TCP, Maintain constant connection. On this System, I defined Feedback. Now this dialog window is really different than the one in the example. My Regex is set to (1)?(2)?(3)?(4)? List Join is 0 (what is that?). I added 4 Groups, with values Name: Select01 to Select04 Capture Index: 1 to 4 Data type: Digital Target type: Digital Join: 1 to 4 Token type: Value Off Value: 0 On Value: 1 to 4 My iPad is giving the 'click' sound upon pressing one of the buttons, but otherwise, there is no visible reaction. What do I need to do? I tried all kind of settings now for 2 days and searched the internet for all kind of examples (none found). Create a system with ip 0.0.0.0 identical to the opus system. Use all the commands and regexs in the example and you will have the desired effect. Your buttons will deactivate when you press another one. let me know if you need any help. . . Press button "1" digital join to Change state from say Black to Red Done this OK Press button "2" digital join to Change state from say black to Red Done this OK Same with all other buttons When I press button "2,3,4", I want Buttons "1,3,4" and any other buttons that are red to go back to their original state I.e. Black It is to show which radio station is currently tuned to. I only want the current one to show red Thanks Waldy
