Cannot select any items in the "Add Configuration" setup

I just purchased and downloaded iSSH - first to my iPad. When I
attempted to set up my first SSH connection I went to the "Add
Configuration" page and was surprised that I could not select any
items. When I press and release or press and hold the Description
[Required] line - nothing happens. The same is true for all other
elements on this page except the "SSH/Telnet/Raw" and the "Shell/VNC"
lines. Pressing an option in either of these gives the expected
response.

I realized I had not rebooted my iPad after the download. So I did.
Same result as above.

I had a live Bluetooth keyboard connection so I turned off the Apple
keyboard. Same result.

I then downloaded the app to my iPhone 4. Exactly the same result.

Of course, with this problem the app is completely unusable. Please
get back to me with a fix as soon as possible as I am trying to get
set up for a trip.

I am also excited and anxious to use this tool based on the
description in the App Store!
