I also own a copy of iSSH, but prefer the standalone X server (both
because it does not include a navigation bar, and because it is easier
to script for).
I also noticed that the refresh rate for the X server is quite slow;
for instance, with an xterm open, I am able to type several characters
before any output appears. If this were a remote connection, I would
blame the network, but I am running the software locally (jailbroken
device).
While iX11 on the iPhone seemed more like a novelty, I see a lot of
potential for it on the iPad... especially as it is still the only
available X server that I am aware of.
