Re: RS232 receiving data

You need to know what protocol your device uses? Who is the manufacturer?
The GC 100 serial (rs232) works with the following ports: 4999 and Port
5000 TCP Only
You need to create a new system and create commands (based on the protocol).
Let me know if you need further help. . .

You need the following to be working in the correct order
0)Do you have the serial protocol of your device?
1) Do you have the right serial cable? (is the pin out correct?)
2)Have you configured the GC100 with the correct port settings? (do you
have the right baud rates?)
3)Have you imported the plugin for the GC100 into Gui Designer?
4)Have you used the correct EOM character for feedback? (in system
properties)
5)Have you terminated your command with the correct character? eg \x0D
or \x0A or any other terminator as specified by the protocol.
6)Is your router configured to work with the GC100 (does the light
flicker when you press a button? are you on the same subnet as the GC100?)
