I'm sure it'd be easy if he were Korean or had a passing knowledge of the language. 

If you've ever done any development, you should know that there's no such thing as "wouldn't be that hard to implement" as there will be hundreds of little tasks that are much more important to the developer and his primary market than yours. 

Also, describing the programmer as "unpleasant and unprofessional" never helps.
