Re: iPhone App Tip

I do often try the reboot method. I have occasionally tried reinstalling the app, but not with iSSH yet. I did do a restore from backup last weekend in case that would help anything.

I am still experiencing the issue where the pie menu items shift around, even after yesterday's update. I think I saw it blank, too, but I'm not positive if that was with the latest version. Perhaps I will have to try a reinstall of the app when I have time to mess with the keys and such.

So far, the crashing on pie menu activation seems to be gone, so that's good at least.

I do not know how widely this is known/practiced here in this group, but when an otherwise well behaved app begins behaving erratically, especially after an update or series of updates, rebooting the iPhone can clear things up. While Apple has made the update process as painless as possible, I have seen cases with a number of apps where the update (or series of updates) made the app unstable. A reboot will sometimes clear this up.

If that fails, then sometimes deleting the app and re-installing on the iPhone is required to clear up the problems. (I realize that is a **pain** with iSSH since a delete/reinstall requires one to re-enter the term info and loses the DSA or RSA keys).

I have had to to this with a number of apps over the two years or so I have been a 3G user. The only pattern that seems to be common is a series of updates.
