[appigo-todo] Appagio Sync Service not found' - help!

I've installed appagio sync on laptop, and Todo on iphone, wifi
network all working fine - but it won't authorize the iphone - keeps
coming up telling me 'Appagio Sync Service not found' - a new device
shows up in the preferences, I type in the number - then it goes
blank, and a new device shows up in the preferences.... ad nauseum...

anyone have an idea?
