Did you uninstall the last version first?  Here are instructions for updating Appigo Sync for Windows:

1. Uninstall:

Windows XP:

Windows Vista:
http://appigo.com/appigo-sync/faqs/how-to-uninstall-windows-vista

Windows 7:
http://appigo.com/appigo-sync/faqs/how-to-uninstall-windows-7

2. Install New BETA:
http://downloads.appigo.com/appigo-sync/Appigo-Sync-Win-0.9.9-5288.zip

If this was not the problem then please see let us know what the error message says.
