someone has the answer to this.
Initial Conditions:
Denon:AVR-A11SR
CF iViewer works via serial.
All inputs are optical. (Sky HD, Sky Plus, Server & Apple TV)
Main Zone Working.
Problem: Zone One unpredictable.
Sometimes there is sound but not on chosen channel.
Sound comes on when the source button is pressed. (source button
should activate or disable zone)
The denon has been flawless except when it gets to a second zone.
Able to change inputs and zone volumes.
I expected the RCA to be active (through internal conversion)
Still no sound in second zone. when the switch input macro runs.
I have turned the volume up and have feedback.
There is visual confirmation of all commands on the denon as I switch
inputs and change volume.
I have plugged each RCA inut to different amp. There is juice in all.
What I have done:
Added RCA(phone) equivalents. as the output to zone amplifier is RCA
(This was an breakthrough as we got sound for the first time)
Adjusted Zone One Volumes with feedback to prove it.
Any suggestions welcome.
I read recently that Onkyo have a great protocol (which I cannot find)
We are thinking of getting the TXNR-5007.
Other suggestions?
Thank you.
