Re: Video for RS232 or any relevant documentation-- What am I doing wrong?

Hello all
Pulling what little hair I have left.

Initial Conditions:
Denon AVC-A11SR.
GC100-12 (I am using serial Port 2 for the Denon)
Ipod Touch
Control FX

My connection to the GC100 works with IR on other devices. So the system is set up. To that point
The Denon works with a  crestron AV2 so I know the cable is good. (correct?)

I followed Fiasco's guide to getting feedback on the Denon. I was sure I understood it all.
In reality nothing happened. The command did not work!! (I did not get as far as feedback)

For completeness here is what I did
The codes for the denon are on my little page: here
http://vandermehrn.com/lc/AVCA11SR.pdf

I wish to send a power on (following Fiasco's instruction for feedback)
Fiasco used line feed = x0A and carriage return = x0D in his command: PWON\x0A\x0D
My denon code manual uses only <CR> (Am I missing something?)

The event confirmation from the denon is PW so my regex would be P(.*) correct?

To send this  to the denon, in system manager I added a command and skipped the wizard.

System: gc100_192.168.1.70
Command Name: Power_Denon
Command Value:
PWON\x0A\x0D

I notice that I have not sent the device port/module details to the gc100. (as I would with in the IR command).
I am losing sleep on this, it is all I can think of any feedback or insight woulld be much appreciated.

I have also tried the volume and mute commands.
Also a failure.

I gave up,  chickened out and tried IR on the denon. It still did not work!!!

I I I I please help :-(

When controlling serial devices, you need to create a new system in
your project which has connection details relevant to the GC-100
serial port you are using.
Each serial port has a different TCP port. Then the command you send
is exactly as the Denon device requires (no need to add any extra info
to the command as the GC-100 serial ports are just pass through
ports).

For parsing feedback, please see the examples in our wiki -
www.commandfusion.com/wiki
You should be able to parse the feedback easily from Denon devices (if
I recall, been a while since I worked with one).

You cannot send two different commands from a button. We will be
eventually adding the ability to send different commands on press and
release, but not different commands toggled by each press (at least
not immediately anyway).
You might also want to check if the projector you are using is able to
control the screen automatically (if thats what you meant by 'screen'
- most projectors these days have outputs for screen control).
