Re: Slow text entry

Verxion,

Hey there. iSSH support (and developer) here. Connectbot is pretty
cool but I wouldn't go so far as to say it decimates iSSH. In fact,
many of the latest features in Connectbot were all in iSSH long before
someone integrated the ideas into Connectbot. Never mind that iSSH
also has a X server (along with tunnelling) that I don't expect to see
on another mobile device any time soon. NX support is in the works
which will make iSSH even that much more capable.

I do appologize for the delay in my response. I do monitor the forum
and try to respond in a timely fashion but being as this is a "one man
show" life sometimes gets in the way.

With regard to your issue, I have no idea what you mean by slow input
on the iPhone. With iSSH on my phone (or any of my test devices) it
pretty much keeps pace with my typing speed. Of course this varies by
server, bandwidth and network dependent things, which you attempted to
control for with your side-by-side comparision.

Regarding your statement, "don't know why, but on iSSH, the font
size scroller does not seem to have any way to allow you to pick font
sizes that fill the entire horizontal screen like connectbot does"

The smallest font size will fit to a 56x24 screen in portrait or 80x24
in landscape. If you choose the "fixed width terminal", the terminal
size is always 80x24, requiring scrolling in portrait mode.

Hope this helps.
