I am talking to the zwave commander right now with the HTTP GET
protocol,
you just don't get two-way feedback... You could use the simulated
feedback though.
There is another small program that is worth checking out and it works
with the iViewer.

It's small and lightweight and you can control iTunes, MCE, VLC,
etc...
Only downside is... No two-way feedback.
