Indirect Text - Not Appearing?

Crestron with CF...

I have a serial I/O which is properly driving text to the device, but
I don't have text feedback on CF when I reboot it for all buttons.
That is, I am currently monitoring room status for a dozen rooms.

All rooms have text which says "ROOM OFF" when I close CF.

But, when I restart CF, several of the rooms do not show the indirect
text which had been there a few seconds before when I left CF (using
iPod Touch hard button).

Similarly, when I restart CF it doesn't recall the current analog
value of the room I am controlling sometimes. It does for some rooms,
but not all rooms.

Is there some trick to ensuring that serial and analog information
gets passed to CF when it starts up so that I get reliable on-screen
information all the time upon startup?
