Keep in mind that I am a little heretical on the GTD front when it
comes to projects. There are many who will say that no project is open-
ended and that these are actually "areas of focus/responsibility" and
projects are borne out of these.

I certainly try to adhere to this as much as possible. If something
has more than one step, I will make a List (read:project) out of it,
but one step things need a place to live.

For example, the doorknob on our upstairs bathroom seemed loose. I do
not have a screwdriver on the 2nd floor of the house so it was always
difficult for me to just tighten it because it required going back
downstairs (usually late at night when I just wanted to go to bed).
So, I needed a task "Tighten bathroom doorknob". Is this a project?
Do I need to put in tasks for "go get screwdriver", "tighten knob",
"put away screwdriver"? Not for me. It's a single task that just
needs to be done while I'm at home with time. So, it needs a "General
Home Maintenance" project.

On the other hand, I have to take care of something at work which
requires getting signatures from 6 different people, having a
conversation with one other, and then documenting and filing the
results. I decided to make this a project instead of generic "work-
related" tasks.

I plan on re-reading GTD this year (3rd time) now that I have a good
tool in place. I'm hoping that having a fluid tool like Todo will help
me see more of the benefits the next time around (just like it did for
contexts).
