command codes database?

Hi,

I'm building up a fairly substantial home control interface on an ipod
touch with Commandfusion and Global cache

Can you tell me where all the command codes/strings that I have
entered into my various systems go?

The main reason being, when I want to make a new project using
potentially some of the same AV equipment, I don't want to have to
learn/enter all the commands again!

or, is the preferred method to generate an external database of codes
beforehand? (quite time consuming!)

alternatively, does anyone know of any existing databases of
Globalcache IR commands for various AV equipment?
